It's only after I make changes an want to then go back to reading the file, that the issue arises.
In other platforms like email or texts, what I do to get back to the note or message is to simply put my finger above gBoard, and then swipe to where I want to go. Hope that info is helpful. I really don't edit much, using my phone. I mostly use my PC for Dropbox. So it isn't a huge issue for me, as long as I remember not to go into GBoard, either accidentally or otherwise.
