Autocad 2009 recommended hardware

I hope this helps. Sincerely, Shaan. After installing everything it is not running. Indeed when clicking on the icon it is giving me a window saying that I have a appcrash problem. Can you help me with this please. Ale, It sure sounds like a graphics driver or.

Net to me. Try booting to safe mode which reverts to default drivers. AutoCAD uses DirectX graphics so make sure that was installed properly and try enabling or disabling hardware acceleration to test. Also make sure you have the latest.

Net installed and working try. Net 3. You can also try a repair install. After Loading the auto cad system saying that installation unsuccessful please reinstall one or more components are missing. That is something we at Autodesk are always researching if it makes sense. We had a Mac version in the past.

If we do decide to give Mac a go again you will read it here first. But i have Direct 3D. How can i Fix it. I would suggest installing the DirectX 9. There should also be an install log in your user temp directory that can provide a clue on what the error during installation was. I have a same problem as bach. I have Direct X 9 installed, downloaded today. Here is my install log, so I have no idea why it stops. NET Framework Runtime 3.

Hello, I have just got round to installing , I also have still on my pc. The installation procees seems to go through smooth enough. Every time I start I get an error telling me it was not installed correctly. I have done this 3 times now. Also, when I try to uninstall it, I get a message saying I have not got enough disc space.

I have 6GB spare. Then try the installation again. It says it cannot install on that OS. Does anyone know how to fix this? Something with your systems environment is telling the installer it is not a supported OS perhaps a setting or something else.

I have never heard of this reported and use Vista myself. Any ideas? Or suggestions of where to look for help? KLMartin, I think I know the problem. Best Regards and have a safe and happy New Years, Shaan. I want to buy a laptop with 64 bit vista. Can any one suggest. Thank you for the question and readsing the blog, Shaan. I want to buy a laptop for my son who studing civil engineering. He will need to run c a d. SANI, There are not enough details to know what is occurring on your machine.

It may be that it is a problem with your operating system or hardware drivers and not related to AutoCAD but unfortunately difficult to guess at this point. We are beginning to use 3D LIDAR surveying for pipeline corridors that cross several states and end up having extremely large reference files that have choked Civil 3D several times. We just got a 64 bit system with 4 gig RAM and XP-Pro 64 and that seems to have fixed the problem, at least for now, and it runs about twice as fast as the normal 32 bit systems.

I need to submit a suggestion for a corporate wide upgrade and want to be sure that 64 bit, 4 Gig Ram, MB Graphics Card would be a good enough. Is there anything more we should look at for hardware configurations? As for upcoming releases of ACAD products, should we aim higher? Maybe 8 Gig Ram? Thanks for you help and suggestions, Brian.

Brian, Thank you for the question. I am not a Civil3D user so bear with me for an answer from a Autodesk Platform Technology perspective. I would suggest for those using large data sets to consider a 64bit system with as much RAM as you can get and use that extended memory. That is the benefit of 64bit in that you get beyond the 3Gig RAM limit. As for your graphics cards get a workstation class card not a gaming card. Think of the graphics card similar to the wheels on your race car, put some good wheels if you want the performance.

I hope this helps and thanks for reading the blog. Cheers, Shaan. Thanks, -Adrian. Also, when I try to uninstall it, I get a message saying I have not got enough disc space Sincerely, luxman. Also make sure to not use one of the registry cleaners as they can cause issues with software by being to aggressive and removing required components or links. For more information please see our tested and certified graphics cards.

Is the AutoCAD the only one that works on windows vista Bit or there is another version that works for example , , …?? The window say: You can not install this software in this operation system… What can I do? Ana, Please make sure you are installing the right version for your OS such as 32bit on a 32bit OS and not a 64bit. Also make sure your OS is up to date with all service packs.

Thank you so much, Shaan, for your prompt response. Thanks once again! Hello Shaan. I made it! The problem was something wrong with the 64 bits Autocad.

Thanks oce more! Cheers, krishna. Hope you can help. Charlotte Two things to check. One make sure the DVD is good and readable. Hello, quick question. I am purchasing a new laptop and have the option of xp professional or vista business. I noticed that above the requirments are the same, however on the products page for autocad the requrments for vista say dual core 3.

I wanna have the same kinda set up at home as I've herd that CAD has some problems with vista. There are no more problems running AC on Vista than there are running it on XP as long as your new computer is up to the task.

You want to get as much RAM as you possibly can afford as well as a good AutoDesk supported graphics card. You might want to consider quad core and a bit system. What computers have you looked at so far? Well unless you are going to be using more than 4 gb of ram then you really don't gain much by going bit. I like the new Intel core i7 series systems.
